Department of education & training
signage and graphics fitout
Digital artworks delivered a unique, creative Signage and Graphics fitout for Department of Education and Training, in Melbourne, Victoria.
This department is responsible for providing Victoria’s overall learning and development. Their vision is to build a strong society that has better health outcomes, greater social mobility and strong economic growth, productivity, and employment. The design team at Digital Artworks, carefully delivered an excellent concept to capture those vision and values, through a unique line drawing theme.
Working with our client, Jones Lang LaSalle, the department floor was transformed into an inspiring, energetic, and focused environment. Which perfectly fits the brief.
The signage and graphics fitout consisted of:
These architectural glazing films were carefully designed to have a gradient dot pattern, applied to the inside of the windows and doors. The dense white print was digitally printed onto 1100mm frosted film. These glazing films provide a good level of privacy and add a sophisticated feel.
A branded signage solution of the DET logo was designed and manufactured from 10mm thick gloss white acrylic and installed within the lifts.
Numbers, lettering, and logos were cut from white vinyl and applied directly onto the glazing films, to stand out and create a professional and elegant entrance.
Reception / Sign in Signage
Full frosted film with opaque white dot gradient was applied to the inside of the windows, to create full privacy. Black vinyl lettering was then applied over the top for the sign in signage.
Cupboard Icons Signs
Each cupboard was considered within the design and had their own line icon. These signs were made from 50mm roemark etched discs, with a white face etched to reveal the black backing.
Using line art, our design team developed unique wall graphics to complement the areas, they were applied to. From arts and music drawings, to studying and groups of people. The concept to completion was impressive. The continuous line links and flows from one area to the next, depicting collaboration of learning, guidance, and technology.
Magnetic Wall Graphics
Using the Victorian area map, the design team delivered an interactive wall. Using magnetic wall graphics and continuing the line to compliment and bring the whole space together. This design was printed in a dot pattern.
